Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) hosted its landmark event, the tenth annual Art of the Party presented by Tiffany & Co., gathering Miami’s vibrant community of artists, philanthropists, civic leaders, and arts enthusiasts for the museum’s most significant fundraiser of the year.
Celebrating Commitment
The evening was dedicated to honoring Darlene and Jorge Pérez for their unwavering dedication to the arts and the Miami community. Co-chaired by Aaron and Dorothy Podhurst, Craig Robins and Jackie Soffer, and Sarah Arison and Thomas Wilhelm, Art of the Party achieved a remarkable feat, raising over $2 million.
Supporting Arts Education
Funds raised during the gala will contribute to PAMM’s robust arts education program, reinforcing the institution’s broader mission to lead in the presentation, study, interpretation, and care of international modern and contemporary art. PAMM remains committed to representing and celebrating the unique diversity of Miami-Dade.
Monumental Announcements
The event featured two major announcements that added to the night’s significance. Firstly, a groundbreaking $25 million donation to the museum was revealed, courtesy of Jorge M. Pérez and the Pérez family. This generous contribution reflects their continued commitment to the growth and vitality of PAMM and the city of Miami.
Recognizing Artistic Excellence
Additionally, the 2023 Pérez Prize was awarded to Christopher Cozier, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to the arts. This prestigious honor recognizes Cozier’s advocacy for the transformative power of art as a tool for connection and communication.
